MISHAWAKA, Ind.--- You may be wondering why dozens of utility poles are set up in Mishawaka’s Beutter Park.
And no, there's not any construction or power plans in the works.
Mishawaka agreed to host the fourth annual “Indiana Lineworker's Skills and Training Rodeo.”
Internationally, the rodeo has taken place for three decades, but it's fairly new to the Hoosier state.
Competition is designed to showcase the skills and knowledge of lineworkers in a fun environment.
This year's rodeo is open to anyone who is a practicing lineworker in any government-owned electric utilities or co-ops.
It's scheduled to take place Friday, September 26 and Saturday, the 27.
