A multi-use building that overlooks Mishawaka's Riverwalk is finally getting some business.
In the past six months two businesses have moved into the building known as Ironworks.
For nearly five years the building has been empty.
A financial planning firm and dental office moved in looking for a new space that could be built around their growing needs.
It's a three story building.
The first floor is reserved for a restaurant which has been a tough sell.
“Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s bad right,” says Dennis Murphy from Ironworks. “Now it’s very hard for restaurants to be able to invest that much money into their restaurant when you are never guaranteed it’s going to succeed.”
Ironworks has met with several potential restaurants interested in the building.
It would include outdoor seating and a fireplace.
However financing continues to be a problem.
