According to their meeting agenda, the Board of School Trustees in Mishawaka will appoint a new superintendent on Tuesday.
School City has been without a superintendent since April 28, 2010 when then-superintendent Steven Mills submitted his resignation. He stepped down after admitting to a secret marriage with Joann Shaw, an administrator in the district, without filing state-mandated paperwork.
Since then, Daniel Towner has been serving as interim superintendent. Towner was previously the director of curriculum and instruction.
In October, Towner pulled his name out of consideration for the permanent job.
The special meeting of the board is next Tuesday at 7 p.m.
