Millersburg appoints new town marshal

The Town of Millersburg has chosen a new town marshal to replace a man charged with a very strange crime.

MILLERSBURG, Ind.--- The Town of Millersburg has chosen a new town marshal to replace a man charged with a very strange crime.

Our reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth, say Al Mackowiak will now take over the job.

He spent 35 years as a police officer and detective in Goshen, and is currently in charge of security at Goshen College.

Mackowiak replaces David Hathaway, who was charged with taking panties that belonged to his son's girlfriend.

Hathaway will be in court August 15th.

He is charged with two counts of conversion, a Class A misdemeanor.
