A man had to be airlifted to the hospital after losing control of his truck and crashing near Middlebury Monday.
According to reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth, Mark Gannon, 46, of Middlebury, was driving his truck on U.S. 20 eastbound when went off the road and hit a large rock in front of a home at the intersection with County Rd. 33.
Gannon had to be pulled from the truck.
He was in surgery for his injuries as of Monday evening.
