WARSAW For the first time in many years, Edgewood Middle School will host a semi-formal dance Friday night.

It is to honor the memory of 13-year-old Jaden Stout, who died unexpectedly this summer of natural causes.

According to Stacey Page Online, his former classmates came up with the dance idea in order to raise $5,000 that is needed to establish a memorial scholarship in Jaden’s name.

Students have already raised $1,000 in ticket sales, and photos at the dance will also be sold to raise money.

The scholarship will support further education.

Anyone wishing to donate to help the students reach the $5,000 goal needed to establish the endowment, may give monetary gifts to the Kosciusko County Community Foundation in the name of Jaden Stout Memorial Scholarship, 102 E. Market St., Warsaw, IN 46580. Donations may also be made online.
