A Michigan woman hopes her love of crafting may help the families of Newtown shooting victims cope.
Brandy Florey started making jewelry in her spare time over the summer.
Among the items she makes are handmade bracelets that feature a photo as the centerpiece.
After the tragic Sandy Hook shooting in December, one of her customers contacted her with an idea.
"She thought it would be great to send the mommies [a bracelet] to have something to remember and that they could look at everyday," Florey said.
The customer paid for the supplies Florey would need for the bracelets and Florey quickly got to work.
It took her about two weeks, and many late nights, to finish 20 bracelets -- one for each student killed in the shooting.
"You look at their little faces, and the smiles, and the happiness, and you just think, but they're not even here," she said. "It's horrible."
Florey plans to send the bracelets to the victims' families now that they're complete.
And, she hopes they bring the grieving parents some comfort.
"It gives them something to hold on to and look at everyday," she said. "If they're wearing them, they're there".
