LANSING, Mich.--- A Michigan man has been charged with fourteen counts of child pornography.
John Howard Statler, 40, of Lansing, was charged Thursday with seven counts of possessing child sexually abusive material, a felony punishable by up to four years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine
He was also charged with seven counts of distribution of child sexually abusive material, a felony punishable by up to seven years in prison and/or a $50,000 fine.
Statler was arrested on July 30, 2014 by the Michigan State Police ICAC Task Force after an intensive investigation.
Statler was assigned a $50,000 cash bond, which he was unable to meet, and is currently being held in the Eaton County jail.
His next court date is set for August 5.
