A Michiana officer continues to give back to his community, years after his death.

Saturday is the 5th Annual Jim and Ricky Cruise-in Car Show. Ths

The show honors fallen Cpl. Jim Szuba and his K-9 partner, Ricky. Both were members of the Mishawaka Police Dept. The pair died in 2010 after a drunk driver slammed into their squad car.

Szuba had a passion for classic cars. The Tom and Bryan Foundation use this show as a way to honor Szuba's legacy.

Dozens will make their way to the St. Joseph County 4H fairgrounds in South Bend to see the variety of hot rods on display. Some even come from other states, like Sgt. Rick Brown.

"We heard about Jim Szuba passing away in the accident and we received the invite to come down here," the Zion, Illinois resident says.

"We couldn't support a better cause."

Those entering their cars paid a $20 fee. All the money raised goes to support a scholarship fund established in honor of Jim and Ricky.

Saturday's show runs until around 2 p.m. It is free to the public, but donations to the scholarship fund are appreciated.
