About 4000 people lost power in St. Joseph County, Indiana.
An AEP spokesperson says a squirrel got into a substation and caused an insulator problem.
Power was restored to residents by 4:00 Saturday afternoon.
An additional 200 people in Berrien County, Michigan, were also without power. No word on what caused that outage or when their power will be restored.
