Michiana mom helps victims in Oklahoma and shares stories

Folks from Michiana continue to do their part to help those affected by the tornado in Moore, Oklahoma.

Earlier this week WNDU told you about the "Moms Helping Moms" donation drive that collected items for children in Moore.

Well, those supplies have officially arrived.
The crew left Thursday night around nine o'clock and made it to Moore Friday night.

They packed two trucks full of supplies, one 53-feet-long and the other 28-feet.

Students, athletes, faculty and staff from the University of Oklahoma helped unload the trucks.

They passed out tarps, buckets, masking tape, gloves, really anything that could help.

There will be a benefit concert Wednesday in Oklahoma City with Toby Keith, Carry Underwood, Reba McEntire and other headline acts.
