A memorial picnic and a donation account have been set up for the family of an infant who died tragically in July.

Four-month-old Halo died on July 12 from injuries allegedly inflicted by her father.

At the hospital, medical personnel found the girl had skull fractures, massive brain injury, bleeding behind the eyes, and bruising on her body.

Medical personnel said her death was caused by oxygen deprivation to the brain.

Halo's parents, Dominique Stutzman and Bryan Michel, lived together with three children. Halo was the youngest. The oldest is four years old.

Michel is charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death, a level one felony. He is being held in the St. Joseph County Jail on $1 million bond.

The Halo Memorial Benefit account has been set up at 1st Source Bank. Donations will go to the family.

A benefit picnic has been scheduled for August 17 at Bendix Park. That address is 300 S. Delorenzi in Mishawaka, and the picnic is scheduled to last from noon until 6:00 p.m.

A $5 donation will get you a hot dog or sub sandwich, a bag of chips, a cookie, and a drink.

They also plan to have a bounce house, live DJ, and more.
