On Wednesday, the city of Goshen remembers cyclists who have been hit by cars in the past year, in an event meant to raise awareness about the need to share the road.

The Ride of Silence honors at least five cyclists who died in traffic accidents over the past 12 months.

In one of the most tragic incidents, three cyclists died on the same day, in two separate crashes.

60-year-old Raymundo Sabag, 19-year-old Daniel Runion and 18-year-old David Anglemyer all died in Elkhart County on June 7th. 29-year-old Wilmer Herschberger was killed in LaGrange County on August 2nd, and 19-year-old Ziqi Zhang died in a crash on October 18th.

Goshen will host a Ride of Silence to honor those victims. The hour-long ride begins Wednesday at 7 at Lincoln Avenue Cycling. Riders are asked to wear helmets and black armbands.
