Tuesday Memorial Hospital honored those who served our country, and now serve our community.
The hospital, Miller's Vets and Mayor Pete Buttigieg saluted veterans, and their families, that work for Beacon Health System.
The Honor Guard from Miller's Vets performed a gun salute, played taps, raised the flag, and said the pledge of allegiance in honor of the event.
Recognition was given to those who have given so much of themselves, to serve our country.
“Service is not only a sacrifice I think everybody who has worn the uniform knows the many benefits that it brings and especially addressing so many of those who have served our country in uniform and now serve our community as members of the hospital team,” says Mayor Pete Buttigieg.
Not only were the veterans honored, but Memorial Hospital was presented with a plaque to commemorate their continued support of the armed services.
