SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A heavy hitter in medical treatment has gotten on board with Memorial Regional Cancer Center.
Memorial and the Mayo Clinic are joining forces to provide national clinical trials for local cancer patients.
Now, Michiana residents will be able to take part in the same trials offered at Mayo, MD Anderson, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Dana Farber, The Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins and others.
The affiliation means Memorial and the South Bend Clinic will be offering new options not available anywhere else in Michiana.
In addition, Memorial is the first center in the region to offer breast and prostate cancer vaccine clinical trials.
