Memorial Day parades, ceremonies, events in Michiana

Multiple parades, ceremonies, and promotions are scheduled for Monday, in celebration of Memorial Day. This is our list of some of the biggest events on the schedule.



Osceola Memorial Day Parade
8:00 AM
Billed as the "First Parade of the Day," this Memorial Day parade runs through downtown Osceola.



South Bend Memorial Day Parade
8:15 AM
More than 100 groups will participate in this parade, which begins at Ford Street and Scenic Drive and goes east down Ford toward Olive Street.



Mishawaka Memorial Day Parade
9:30 AM
The parade route begins at Third and Main Streets and goes north to Mishawaka Avenue and west to Battell Park.



Niles Memorial Day Parade
10:00 AM
State Senator John Proos is the Grand Marshall in the Niles Memorial Day Parade, which begins at the Niles American Legion at 1707 Miller Drive.



Nappanee Memorial Day Ceremony
10:30 AM
A parade will run from Nappanee Elementary School to City Hall, where a memorial service will take place.



Elkhart Memorial Day Parade
2:00 PM
Elkhart's parade begins at Main Street and Harrison Street, and will progress down Main until it reaches Lexington Street.



Silver Hawks Military Appreciation Day
2:05 PM
The South Bend Silver Hawks will honor all active military and veterans with a free ticket to the game.
