Martin's Supermarkets launches Kids Club to promote healthy eating

Martin's Supermarkets is partnering with Stemilt Growers, Dole Food Company, Inc. and Earthbound Farm Organic to bring the community a free Kids Club program.

Those companies are growers, packers and shippers of fresh produce.

Kids ages 5-12 can sign up and will get a special membership card as well as a free produce item once a month. The item for March is a Fuji apple, which is available through Sunday. Next month's free item will be revealed on April 8 in the store's ad. The only requirement is that their parents have a Martin's Advantage Card.

Martin's is also working on partnering with the Reducing Obesity Commission and Active Youth Initiative to bring families fun, healthy, active events to do together.

More information about the club may be found at this web site link.
