One person was air-lifted to the hospital and another taken by ambulance after a crash in Marshall County Thursday morning.
Police say a black pick-up truck carrying a large, heavy semi-engine in its truck bed rear-ended a white box truck at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Pioneer Road. Both were headed eastbound on U.S. 30 at the time. The crash caused the engine to come forward and slam into the pick-up truck’s cab.
The pick-up truck driver was taken to the hospital by Med Flight while the box truck driver was taken by ambulance. Officers say their injuries didn’t appear to be life threatening. No names have been released.
A cause for the crash remains unknown. The vehicles were towed away and the intersection has been reopened to traffic.
