Berrien County A water rescue ended well for two people who had trouble in Lake Michigan, off of Warren Dunes. That's near Berrien County's Lake Charter Township.

Our reporting partners at WSJM h say a man and woman were struggling in the cold water about 100 yards from shore. Police used a new device, called a ResQMax to bring them to safety.

The new technology shoots a package toward those needing rescue, that inflates upon contact with water.

Neither swimmer was seriously hurt in the ordeal.

Authorities recently bought the ResQMax with a grant from the Pokagon Fund.
