Man who hit 6 cars, injured pedestrian during police chase appears in court

SOUTH BEND, Ind. The man police say lead them on a chase through South Bend last month was in court Monday.

Clester Burt, 34, the third is facing four charges including two felonies.

The chase started around 5:30 p.m. on February 24, when an officer tried to pull a Cadillac over for false plates.

The car allegedly fled the scene and hitting a total of five parked cars, one moving car and injuring a pedestrian.

Burt will be back in curt June 11 and then again on July 14 for the beginning of his trial.
