Man suffered heart attack before crash

LEESBURG A man who crashed into an Amish buggy and a building suffered a medical emergency before the crash.

52-year-old Mark Archer drove into the old Leesburg Mill just after 10a.m. on Friday, Dec. 13.

Archer was alert after the crash and told officers he blacked out before veering off Old State Road 15. His injuries from the crash were only minor, but in the hospital they discovered Archer had suffered a heart attack. He died during an emergency surgery later in the day.

No one was in the buggy in front of the building. It was ornamental.
