Elkhart Police are searching for a man who held up a fireworks store at gunpoint on the Fourth of July.

He walked in to USA Fireworks in the 2400-block of South Nappanee Street, just before 11 p.m. According to our reporting partners at the The Elkhart Truth, the man pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded money.

The culprit is described as a black man about 6 feet tall, wearing a dark long-sleeved shirt and jeans. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

That same USA Fireworks location was the scene of a burglary just the previous week. In that case, someone broke in through the back door and stole fireworks.
