South Bend, Ind.-- A man accused of starting a fire at a mobile home was in court Tuesday.

Mark O'Banion is charged with two counts of arson and one count of resisting law enforcement.

The fire happened in May, in the 1000-block of Mayflower Road in South Bend, after a reported domestic dispute.

O’Banion had reportedly placed shotgun shells in the microwave causing them to explode. Investigators also say they found three separate points where the fire was deliberately set.

Today in court, O'Banion's lawyers stated that they would be pursuing an insanity defense.

O'Banion remains in jail on a $50,000 bond.
