Elkhart Police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened Tuesday night just before 10 pm.
Durwood Elliott III, 25, was found bleeding in an alley on Elkhart’s south side.
It happened in the 700 block of Garfield.
Witnesses say a passer-by found the man and called police. He was bleeding from a gunshot wound. He was immediately taken to Elkhart General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
