PIERCETON, Ind.--- A Chicago man is now facing sexual battery charges after inappropriate contact with an autistic child over the July 4 weekend.

According to Stacey Page Online, Marco Antonio-Jasso Ortiz, 39, was seen trying to perform oral sex on a 16 yr. old autistic female in a public pool at Jellystone Park in Pierceton.

A park security officer arrived at the scene to find Ortiz standing near the pool with his penis exposed.

Indiana State Police Officer Tim Carpenter was then called to the park and interviewed the victim, her mother and Ortiz.

The victim said she had told Ortiz that she was only 16, but that he refused to stop. Her mother told Carpenter that she has the mental capacity of an 8-year-old due to autism.

Ortiz admitted that he had touched, kissed and hugged the girl to the point of sexual arousal.

He was arrested and charged with sexual battery, a level 6 felony.

He is being held on a $6,000 bond.
