South Bend, Ind. A man charged in a rape case dating back to the 1980's, will go on trial this January.
Raymond Ebel faces two counts of rape, two counts of burglary, and one count of criminal deviant conduct. Thursday in court a plea deadline was set for December 5.
DNA samples were collected three decades ago, when the crimes occurred, but were not able to be identified.
The case was recently reopened and Ebel was named the number one suspect. He is already servicing a life sentence for another rape case.
