One person was arrested Saturday night after a domestic dispute in Goshen.
Around 5:45 p.m., police were flagged down by 49-year-old Cathlene Piche-Randolph.
Piche-Randolph told police she was the victim of a domestic battery earlier in the day.
The man Piche-Randolph lived with, 48-year-old William Hogendobler, had reportedly barricaded himself inside the couple's home.
Goshen Police called in crisis negotiators. Hogendobler surrendered to police in close to an hour. It is believed he consumed a large amount of an unknown narcotic. He was taken to the hospital to be treated.
Neighbors say this isn't the fire time they have heard arguments in the apartment.
"They just moved in a week and a half ago," said Mike Weaver.
"I'm just glad it went like it did, peaceful," said neighbor Ronald Hoine.
Piche-Randolph was also taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Hogendobler is facing charges of Domestic Battery, Violation of Protective Order, Intimidation, Interfering with the Reporting of a Crime, Strangulation, and an outstanding Elkhart County Warrant.
