Man arrested on reckless homicide charges after a 2012 hunting accident

Fulton County, Ind. A 25-year-old is facing charges for a fatal hunting accident where the victim, was shot in the head.

It happened on September 30 last year.

A group of three adults and a 12-year-old were hunting on private property near North 400 West and West 250 North in Fulton County around eight o'clock at night. At one point, they split into two groups.

28-year-old Kenneth Moore of Rochester was walking with the juvenile, when he was shot in the head by the adult in the other group. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Matthew Carlson, 25, of Kewanna, Indiana was arrested Wednesday night. He faces reckless homicide and criminal recklessness charges.

The accident took place during Indiana's two-day Youth Deer Season, when hunters younger than 18 are allowed to have weapons.
