Man arrested for vandalism at South Bend Library

An act of vandalism at the public library in downtown South Bend led police to arrest one person.

A pedestrian threw an unknown object at the front door of the library for unknown reasons. The object went through the glass and shattered the glass door.

A newspaper stand was set in front of the broken door while South Bend Police monitor the entrance of the building.

One person was taken into custody.

The library will remain closed today because of weather conditions.
