The former president of a local bank, who was accused of molesting a young girl in her Granger home has been sentenced to two years behind bars.
45-year-old William Peterson was initially charged with child molestation when he was allegedly found with his hands down the pants of a six-year-old girl back in 2008.
He was fired as president of the St. Joseph-based Edgewater Bank shortly after his arrest.
Last year, Peterson pled guilty to a lesser charge of sexual battery.
But this past April, a judge found out he didn't live up to the terms of his plea deal that would have kept him off the sex offender registry.
