A man accused of setting his foreclosed home on fire has pleaded guilty to arson, a class B felony.

Douglas Wilcox, 62, was charged after an August 2013 house fire in the 2100 block of Sandybrook Drive in St. Joseph County.

Wilcox was supposed to give keys to the new owner the day his home burned down.

After a search that lasted a few weeks, police found and arrested him at a casino in Battle Creek.

Wilcox’s sentencing is scheduled for August 25 at 8:30 a.m. before Judge Hurley.
