A trial date has been set for a man charged in a horrific crash.

Kyle Papa will go on trial October 7 for drunk driving, after he reportedly drove between a utility pole and the wire holding it up in Osceola.

His passenger, Amanda Ezra, was vomiting at the time, with her head out the window.

Her head hit the wire and smashed into the side of the van.

She died in the crash.

Papa is charged with multiple crimes, including driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and driving without ever having received a license.
