ROSELAND, Ind. -- Jeremy Bontrager, 24, is set to appear before a judge Monday morning for a pre-trial conference.
He's already pleaded not guilty and could face up to eight years in prison for leaving the scene of an accident that killed 56-year-old Ronald Rodgers in January.
Bontrager originally told police he heard a loud bang, and thought he may have hit something.
But he claims he didn't see anything when he turned around to look in the street.
Rodgers was walking on 933 in Roseland, in the right lane because the nearby sidewalk was covered in snow.
Bontrager's trial begins August 11.
