Lower school attendance reported due to bomb threat

Attendance was at about 80% on Thursday because of a bomb threat at North Judson-San Pierre High School in North Judson; but officials say they expect attendance to be back to normal on Monday.

According to our reporting partners at WKVI, a custodian found the note with the threat around 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday night. A search ensued of the building for several hours but no explosives were found.

School was delayed on Thursday by two hours so they could put extra security in place.

School officials say the person responsible will be dealt with swiftly and severely.
