Kids were helping kids Sunday at the Robinson Community Center in South Bend.
Volunteers from the Christ Child Society of South Bend helped make and distribute 900 hand-crafted fleece scarves and friendship bracelets to other children in the community.
They also distributed clothing, packages and full outfits.
Those involved say they are happy they could give back to the community in a big way.
“We're handing it back to the community for people who need like winter clothing like coats, jackets, hats scarf, gloves, pants,” said volunteer Raelynn Lee.
The year’s project was funded by the St. Mary’s Heritage Fund of the Diocese of Ft. Wayne, South Bend.
