More than a dozen local Red Cross volunteers from Kosciusko, Elkhart and St. Joseph counties are headed to the east coast.
The volunteers are continuing support for victims of superstorm Sandy over the Thanksgiving holiday.
They will be distributing and serving meals at Red Cross kitchens.
So far, 6.2 million meals and snacks have been served from the Red Cross.
