MISHAWAKA, Ind. - As schools across Indiana get ready to take the ISTEP tests next week, one local school held a rally to get the kids excited for the tests.

Friday, at John J. Young middle school in Mishawaka, kids enjoyed themselves at a pep rally to get them fired up for the ISTEP tests that start next Tuesday.

Kids participated in different relay style events against other students and teachers.

The teachers played against students in a family feud style game to practice answering questions and learning test taking strategies.

Teachers are encouraging parents to help their kids get a lot of rest and eat a nutritious breakfast before they go off to school.
