NewsCenter 16 went over to the Eddy Street Commons across from the Notre Dame Campus in South Bend Friday and spoke to people about what they think about the scandal.
"My perception is this is an awful, cruel tragedy perpetrated on a really wonderful young man,” says Aaron Fricke a South Bend Attorny. “It is terribly unfortunate that the media ran with the story as it did because as events turned out this cruel joke becomes a national scandal."
"I am pretty satisfied the issue has been vetted, and that Manti Te’o had nothing to do with the perpetrating this hoax," says Garret Gutermutch a St. Joseph High School Junior.
