A disappointing loss for the Notre Dame women means local lawmakers have to make good on their bets about the game.

Senators Dan Coats and Joe Donnelly have to hand over a basket of treats from the South Bend Chocolate Factory. If Notre Dame had won, Connecticut senators would have given up a basket of special ice cream bars and brownies.

Representative Jackie Walorski also bet on the game. She is giving a Connecticut congressman some items from the South Bend Chocolate Factory, along with Wakarusa Dime Store jelly beans and Amish jams. If Notre Dame had won, the Connecticut lawmaker would have given her chocolates, maple syrup, cheese, chips, cigars and beer.
