The fall season is officially here, and a group of dog lovers were out enjoying their afternoon.

The group Allies for Greyhounds held their first annual Fall Frolic in Mishawaka on Sunday. Anyone who wanted to learn about greyhounds, how they behave or were interested in adopting the animal were welcome to join.

Those who had adopted from Allies for Greyhounds joined the festivities.

There were around 45 dogs at the Frolic. One found a new home, and others might be finding one shortly.

"Foster dogs for people to see,” said Dave Conrad of Allies for Greyhounds. “It’s basically a get together for people within the group that have adopted greyhounds through us and then we also open it up to the public. So, if anyone is interested in adopting a greyhound. They can come in and see what the greyhounds are all about."
