Police launch investigation into bank robbery

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s department are searching for the man behind a bank robbery in Leesburg on Friday afternoon. Deputies were called out to Farmers State Bank on 205 S. Main St. around 4 p.m.

That’s according to the .Stacey Page Online.

Investigating officers say, the suspect entered the bank wearing a dark colored mask over his nose and mouth area. Witnesses describe him as a white male, between 6 foot and 6 foot 2 in his mid to late 50’s. The man was also decked out in a blue t-shirt, dark colored cargo pants, and white and silver running shoes. Witnesses remember seeing the man’s facial hair, either a beard or a goatee, coming to a two-prong or fork-style point on his chin.

The suspect was last seen fleeing the bank in a silver or gray car. Witnesses believe it was either a Chevy Cavalier or Ford Escort.

The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No gun was displayed during the incident.
