South Bend, Ind. Artists have taken over a part of downtown South Bend to showcase their crafts.
The Leeper Park Art Fair kicked off Saturday, marking its 46th year.
The displays range from paintings to metal work. Art lovers were able to interact with the artists themselves, which adds to the overall experience.
"I try to interact with as many as I can when they come to my booth," said EmaLee Birnie, an artist from Grand Rapids. "I tell them the story behind the art, and when they can take home that story it means more to them. It's important to me to tell them what I've done and why I did it."
The Leeper Park Art Fair was named one of the top 200 shows in the country. It continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
