For some kids at Upton Middle school it was like Christmas all over again.

Each student in the 6th grade received their very own laptop this afternoon. It’s all a part of the one to one movement that helps kids have access to technology all the time.

Teachers and kids spent the day setting up their computers and learning how everything is going to work, and of course there was some play time.

Even though these laptops were brought strictly for educational purposes, Wednesday was especially hard to not get even a little excited.

“I got up and shot out of there and came right here…I feel privileged” says Elijah Edlefson

“I thought it was really exciting because normally there are not a lot of electronics at school. It's a lot of text books and stuff…” says Kelsey Oberer.

The kids will be able to take the computers home Friday after a 2-day boot camp. During the boot camp the kids will learn about the computer, how to stay safe online, the rules and procedures having to do with the computers and how to back up and save files.
