Lagrange Co. woman in custody after 10-mile police chase

An Indiana woman was arrested last night after she led police on a ten-mile chase through Lagrange county while driving with four children in her car.

The pursuit got underway around 11 p.m. near the town of Greenfield Mills.

According to Indiana State Police, a trooper tried to stop Jilyan Snyder, 29, of Hudson for a traffic violation. She sped off and reached speeds of up to 90 miles per hour.

Snyder eventually pulled over with a flat tire at State Road 120 and County Road 475 East.

Police discovered an unknown amount of meth in Snyder's purse and four children, ranging in age from six to 13, inside her car.

Snyder is facing preliminary charges of possession, resisting law enforcement and four counts of child neglect.

She is currently being held in the Lagrange County Jail.
