The halls of Memorial Hospital were filled with song and Christmas cheer Monday thanks to a very talented group of Michiana students.
Beloved holiday tunes could be heard from pediatrics to the cancer center, as the Madrigal Singers of LaVille Junior-Senior High School spent the day caroling from wing to wing.
“It really brings a lot of joy to us,” says Don Alexander a senior at LaVille who is part of The Madrigals. “Last year we were singing, I don't remember what area of the hospital it was, but I looked up from my book and saw an old lady like crying, and it brought a tear to my eye, to bring joy to her life. It really touches me.”
The students auditioned for the ensemble in the spring, and have been practicing for Monday’s visit for months.
