Kosciusko County, Ind. A Pierceton man, accused of trying to break into a local business earlier this week, may also be responsible for a recent string of burglaries around the area.
Early Wednesday morning, a report of a burglary in progress led police to the number one bait and tackle store, at the intersection of State Road 13 and East County Road 350 North. That's south of North Webster.
The suspect, 28-year-old Joshua Eyer, had already fled the scene. But was arrested just a few miles away along East County Road 200 North, for felony theft and attempted burglary.
Police have since filed four additional charges against Eyer, two counts each of felony burglary and felony theft. Investigators believe he was involved in three recent burglaries, along with an auto theft in Kosciusko County.
Eyer is being held on $15,000 bond.
