Kosciusko Co. A hacking operation has swiped the information of 4.5 million patients, including those at Kosciusko Community Hospital.

Hospital officials believe the cyber attack originated out of china and stole the names, addresses, social security numbers and birth dates of patients seen in the last 5 years.

The hacker used malware to compromise the computer network of the nationwide Community Health Systems, which runs Kosciusko Community Hospital.

As the Stacey Page Online reports, a hospital spokesperson says affected patients will be notified and offered free identity theft protection.
