SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- It was an egg-stravaganza in downtown South Bend Saturday.

Kids and their parents scoured the streets looking for hidden eggs in a scavenger hunt.

Two other egg hunts were held throughout the day: one at Howard Park and another at the library.

Cookies were decorated, faces painted and potato sacks raced, all as part of DTSB's spring celebration.

“What my favorite part is, just seeing the families downtown,” Cathy Diets of DTSB said. “We're always out, DTSB trying to tell people all this great stuff out here going on, to see people out here experiencing it today in the great weather, playing all the games, it's just fantastic.”

One lucky scavenger found a $200 special cash egg which was hidden somewhere downtown.
