While many businesses are closed for New Years, the South Bend Medical Foundation has a lifesaving way to kick off 2013. The organization is welcoming people to its blood centers to donate blood and give the gift of life on New Year’s Eve.
Officials say they are currently in need of all blood types, especially O-negative and O-positive. Donors are can stop by the foundation’s South Bend location between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. or its Mishawaka center from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
