Notre Dame Fans packed Purcell Pavilion to cheer on the unbeaten Irish. But the football players weren't the only ones getting recognition during Friday's pep rally.
Twelve of the thirteen Notre Dame athletes, past and present, who competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London were honored.
But as the focus turned back to Saturday’s match-up against Pittsburgh, Brian Kelly had a message for Irish fans.
“The things that we've done on the road need to mirror what we have done at home,” said Irish Coach Brian Kelly. “And that is: start fast. We've got to get off to a great start. So I want to challenge all of our fans to get into the stadium a little bit earlier and create a great atmosphere pre-game so we can get these guys off to a fast start. We'll start with that challenge to you.”
Notre Dame and Pittsburgh kickoff at 3:30 on Saturday. Countdown to Kickoff gets you started at 2:30 here on Channel 16.
